Acoustic GuitarThe opportunity for creativity, building self-esteem, and musical education form the foundation of Camp's acoustic guitar program. Campers may wish to bring their own guitar or, use one of the Camp guitars to either learn basic chords or further develop existing skills. Campers often share their talents during Camp Wenonah Little Theatre Nights and at section and closing campfires. There are plenty of melodies, harmonies, and rhythms in this PIC area!
ArtsFor the budding Picasso, Monet, or Pollock! The emphasis is on encouraging individual expression using a variety of visual media such as paper, wood, natural objects and wax. Campers also use clay to make pottery pieces. This PIC is sure to challenge both beginner and advanced artists!
CraftsCrafts allows campers to foster creative energies. This program features classic camp crafts that are sure to engage everyone! Campers can expect to work with tie-dye, papier mache, leather working, and jewelry making. Crafts draws inspiration from nature and tradition, allowing campers to be truly inspiried!
DramaThe opportunity for self expression, creativity, improvisation, and fun is experienced in the Drama program. Campers will explore their imagination and creativity while building voice projection and movement skills. Activities include theatre games, improvisation, skits, movement and the opportunity to perform before an audience. Campers have the opportunity to be serious and silly while building confidence and sharing their sense of humour.
Musical TheatreThe Musical Theatre program challenges campers to develop their vocal musicanship in a fun and creative environment. This PIC offers campers the opportunity to participate in a wide range of dramatic and musical games and activities. Experienced staff work with campers as they choreograph and rehearse a show to be performed by the campers for the full Camp.
Paddle MakingThis hands-on program is a big favourite at Wenonah! With the support of paddlemaster Ray Kettlewell, Wenonah campers have the opportunity to create their own canoe paddles from paddle blanks available at Camp and return home with their finished product. Making one's own paddle is a rewarding activity. Campers are encouraged to take ownership over their project, providing them with the tools to make their dream paddle a reality.
